Wow, you’re still reading… here’s even more about me. I grew up in East London, South Africa. Nature had a way with me from a young age and I knew I wanted to pursue something that would allow me to be outside. After school, I got my bachelor's degree in photography at TUT, Pretoria. In 2010 I made headlines when I walked the entire length of the South African coastline with my Border Collie, Zeta. The 3200km walk took us ten months to complete. It changed my life, and since then I’ve done some things that a lot of people might call crazy, odd or amazing.
Lauren, my wife has been stealing my blanket since 2011. We lived in South Korea for two years while teaching English and we went on a really long walk together. Yes, another walk! This time we walked from the tip of Africa to the top of Namibia. This epic 3700km journey took us through some of the most desolate landscapes on earth.
Our most beautiful adventure by far has been parenting. Our daughter Helena was born in 2020.
We’re currently living in Hermanus, South Africa. I’m full-time in photography unless I’m surfing. Lauren is a science teacher at a local private school.
