“I bought my first camera at the age of 12, I’ve been looking at the world through a lens ever since.“
“My goal in life is to keep things simple, yet live each day as authentically as possible. I believe we all have a story to tell, but few people know how to share it, I love finding a way to share stories through my photography.“
“Beauty is all around us, but few people seem to notice. I’ve made it one of my life missions to show people the beauty of the world we live in.”
“My job is to capture moments that others will cherish forever. Nothing brings me more joy than to see the emotion that my work can evoke.“
Wow, you’re still reading… here’s even more about me. I grew up in East London, South Africa. Nature had a way with me from a young age and I knew I wanted to pursue something that would allow me to be outside. After school, I got my bachelors degree in photography at TUT, Pretoria. In 2010 I made headlines when I walked the entire length of the South African coastline with my Border Collie, Zeta. The 3200km walk took us ten months to complete. It changed my life, and since then I’ve done some things that a lot of people might call crazy, odd or amazing.
Lauren, my wife has been stealing my blanket since 2011. We lived in South Korea for two years while teaching English and we went on a really long walk together. Yes, another walk! This time we walked from the tip of Africa to the top of Namibia. This epic 3700km journey took us through some of the most desolate landscapes on earth. We’re currently living in Hermanus writing a book and making a film about our walk. At the same time, I’m running my photography business, and totally loving it!
